Baby Boy Set
Here's a sweet baby boy set for Miller. I've always loved the name - it has family significance - and think it's a good strong name for a boy.
Baby Girl Sets
Some baby girl sets I've completed recently.
I loved doing a baby set for another little Tatum! It was just yesterday that my Tatum was using burp cloths and wearing baby gowns.
Don't mind the floor peeking out behind the backdrop here.
Burp Cloths
Can you tell that this baby girl's daddy is a baseball coach?
This swirly frame is one of my favorites.
And a camo and orange combo for the baby boy of an avid hunter.Baby Gift Sets
Most of these baby sets were for one customer, and she has more orders coming. She has a lot of friends and apparently they're all having babies right now. I had fun putting them together, and now I'm completely wiped out of burp cloths, bibs and onesies. Back to the store this week.
I'm getting swamped with orders and I have my annual holiday trunk show coming up in a couple of weeks so I'll need to close orders soon to prepare for the show. If I've corresponded with you already I have you in the lineup for the next 2-3 weeks. If you are thinking about placing an order, please do so ASAP so I'll know what my pending orders list looks like. I'll try to post some holiday/Christmas items soon so you can start planning your Christmas shopping. Thanks!
Baby Girl Bibs and Burps
I'm loving this sweet pink and green set. Very soft and feminine.
Evelyn is such a popular baby name right now. I'm seeing it more and more in my orders.More pink and green sweetness.
Baseball Bib and Burps
I give up. I've tried too many times to rotate this photo and Blogger and/or Picasa have conspired against me. It's staying like this. The baby isn't born yet and doesn't have a name, but his dad is a baseball (Dodgers) fan, so we went with that theme. How cute is that brown minky glove?
Applique Baby Gown
I tried my first applique name baby gown. Let me just say, I feel like I should have had Tye take my picture with the finished product and hung it up over the mantel after I labored and toiled over it. I had to rehoop it twice, taking great care to keep it perfectly straight each time, and the chevron pattern didn't do me any favors either. I love how it turned out, but this one was a doozy. It's for a sweet cousin of mine who is expecting her first baby, so I don't mind at all, but I might go with a shorter name and a non-geometric pattern next time.
Hobby Lobby carries a cute line of oil cloth(ish) baby items, and this turquoise chevron bib was fun to stitch on. I am officially overwhelmed with orders again so please bear with me as my turnaround time increases to about 3 weeks. I'll do my best to try and be faster, but my family also needs clean clothes and food occasionally.
Burps and Bibs
I've been a total blog slacker this summer but we've been going non-stop since the beginning of June. We still have 2 more road trips to go, so I won't be back consistently, but I'll be posting a few items along the way. These are the new style of premade knit bibs I'm offering at $10. I still offer the custom made bibs as well for $15. When you place your order, just let me know which style you prefer, otherwise I'll assume you want the knit style.
Baby Boy Sets
As of today I'm not taking any more orders through the summer. We have a packed schedule of travel and activities so I'll be out of pocket in June and July, but if you'd like to place an order for the fall and want to be at the top of the list when I return, go ahead and email me your request now.
This little set for Riley has a heartbreaking story to go along with it. I know everyone has seen the devastation that the tornado in Moore, OK caused a few weeks ago. One family lost everything in the tornado just as they were welcoming a precious baby boy into their family. They were in the hospital giving birth to their sweet baby, Riley, when the tornado ripped through town and demolished their home. They were so thankful to be safe, but mourned the loss of their house and all their possessions, and had nowhere to bring their new baby home to. The hospital allowed them to stay a few days longer while they made other living arrangements and gather clothing and baby supplies. I learned of their situation and felt compelled to make a special baby set for Riley, since all their baby shower gifts, newborn clothing and special nursery items were gone. Coincidentally, the mom just happened to be my clothing size, so I was able to purge my closet and share some items with her as well. Several other families have donated household items for the family, so I hope they are able to put their lives back together soon and concentrate on enjoying sweet baby Riley. Here's a fun set for a sweet baby boy whose nursery theme is trucks. I never get tired of blue and brown for boys.
I'll be back soon with more posts, but won't be taking new orders until August. Have a great summer!
Gifts
Between graduation, birthdays, the end of soccer season and the school year, it's the time of year for lots of gifts. Our dining room has turned into gift prep central.
I found these cute snack/drink dispensers for toddlers and thought they were perfect for some little friends of ours. The bottom part screws off for snack storage, the straw flips up and down and there's a handy carrying strap so it doesn't get dropped. Baby brother is too young for goldfish or cheerios so he got a personalized bib.
These are for a sweet set of sisters. My niece just graduated from college with a teaching degree so she got a monogrammed tote bag to carry all her important teacher stuff.
This one is for me! We have all the beach towels we need, but when I saw this at Target I grabbed it up. No more stuffing the top of my towel into the straps of the lounge chair and fighting with it while I read at the pool. It also has a side pocket for my phone, book, sunscreen, etc. I can't wait to break it in here in a couple of weeks.
I've always wanted to try a monogrammed baseball cap but was skeptical that it would work on my single-needle machine. I tested this one for Tatum, and it worked! These caps come in tons of fun colors too.
Ava and Gentry have been playing on a great soccer team for the last 2 seasons and just played their final game last weekend. The coach had a pool party at his house to celebrate the end of their season so I threw these personalized cups together at the last minute for a fun favor for all the girls. They hold a krazy straw, silly string and a ring pop, with paper shred down at the bottom, and their name adds a personal touch. Just a little something to get everybody excited about summer.
I'm wrapping up the last of my orders so I can shut down during June and July. We'll be doing lots of traveling as a family, and I'll be a chaperone on Ava's youth group mission trip, so I won't be available until August. I'll be back with more product posts soon!
