I'll be back soon with a final Christmas product post. I'm accepting Christmas orders until Friday, December 7.

Thanksgiving 2012

We're back from a blessed and food-filled few days with my family celebrating Thanksgiving. I have a couple of last turkey shirts to post before they fly away until next year.  These are for some sweet sisters:
And this one was for my own little turkey:
Isn't she adorable? The pony tails were her idea and I know their days are numbered, so I happily obliged her.
This is our family's version of the thankful posts you see on Facebook leading up to Thanksgiving Day. We write the things we're thankful for on fake leaves and hang them on the tree branches (kind of a reverse autumn, I guess).
They range from things of true significance and eternal value...
to the trivial.
Gentry added this one after a particularly chilly shower she had to take when the hot water got used up.
Ava was grateful for sunrises, but I honestly can't think of the last time she witnessed one (if ever). She's my sleepyhead.
Here's our little family on Thanksgiving Day. We are so very blessed. Gentry is getting dangerously close to catching up to me, and I was wearing heels! Also, apparently Ava is too mature for Matilda Jane anymore.
I hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. I'm so thankful for all of you too, who make this little online boutique a reality, and am excited about the Christmas items I have to show you. I'm prepping for a show on Tuesday so that's all I can think about right now, but I will be back later this week with a ton of new products to display. I will have a short order window before I close for the holidays, so you'll have to be fast!

Sock Monkey Gift Set

This was my third time to make this little sock monkey trio (I purchased the doll) for a craft show, and it's still one of my faves. Perfect for the mom-to-be who hasn't made the name announcement yet (or is still struggling to decide on one), but still wants something boutique and fun. The name can always be added after the little man makes his appearance.

Sock monkey gift set (including sock monkey doll) - $40

Personalized Tote Bags

I'm loving these simple canvas tote bags. There are so many ways to personalize/customize them. We recently gave this one as a birthday gift for a little friend and filled it with arts and crafts supplies, coloring books and markers.
Bonus: it doubles as the gift bag!
If you have reading addicts in your family like I do, you know a good library book bag is a must. We're big e-readers also, but I hope the old-fashioned book form will never be obsolete. This bag is great for those library excursions, and for keeping all your books in one place until the next visit.
Canvas tote bag - $15

Christmas Dish Towels

I cannot for the life of me get these photos to turn vertical, so you'll have to crook your neck a bit and look at them sideways. The Christmas orders are ramping up and these dish towels are flying out the door. I enjoyed working on this order because I was told to "just have fun" and create whatever I wanted to with a Christmas theme. I like using these thicker, cotton dish towels because you can really use them. Those fancy linen hand towels look great but I need something I can grab and wipe my hands on when I'm in the kitchen. Remember, any of these appliques can also be done on a shirt, onesie or apron too!

Applique Christmas Dish Towels - $10
with added ball or ric-rac trim - $12

Turkey Shirts

Today is the last day to order ribbon turkey shirts. These are shipping out today!

Christmas Aprons

Gingerbread aprons (child size) - $15

Christmas Mini Pillow

I'm posting like mad trying to get all my  holiday items up in time for ordering before I close up shop for Christmas. There's still lots more to come. This is a new product line I'm trying -- Christmas mini pillows. Perfect for an entry bench, accent chair or hearth. I have a TON of festive fabrics to choose from, I just haven't gotten around to sewing up many samples yet. Let me know what tickles your fancy -- a phrase from your favorite Christmas hymn or movie, a single word, or your name -- and I'll see what I can do.

Dish Towels

One of my most requested holiday items I've stumbled upon is personalized dish towels. These have been a huge hit for teacher gifts, mother-in-law gifts and just-for-anything gifts. I tried a new Thanksgiving design recently, and I'm always experimenting with new applique styles for these practical yet decorative gift ideas.

Holiday dish towel (includes personalization) - $10
With ball fringe added - $12

I just finished a ton of new dish towels, so check back soon to see some new designs.

Mouse Ears

This is another set that headed out to Los Angeles for the Fall Festival show. I went with a Minnie Mouse theme because of the close proximity to Disneyland. No personalization on this set, but a name could be added easily.
Don't forget, the last day to place orders for Thanksgiving items/turkey shirts is November 8!
