Catching Up

I've had a very sick little girl at home all week so my productivity has come to a screeching halt, but I'm almost finished with all my pre-Christmas orders. I've realized I don't need quite as much sleep as I thought and it's amazing how much stuff I can accomplish when I'm fending off a "to-do-list-induced" anxiety attack. Our Christmas shopping is decided (not quite DONE, but the deciding is much harder) and my house finally looks festive. My sewing room is a disaster area, but I feel a big clean-out/organization coming on in January. My machines and I are looking forward to a much-deserved break before we come back after the New Year. Here are a few photos before I go tend to my baby girl again.
These mini-pillows are for a set of sweet sisters. The black pillow has a back closure.
And the other 2 have ribbon tie closures.

Christmas Items Ready to Ship

Okay, here are the last of the Christmas items I have left. They are each ready to go to the first person to pay the invoice. I've discounted the shirts because they don't have personalization. If you do request personalization, the shirts are $20, onesies are $15. Shipping charges may apply. I'll update this post as items sell.

Christmas Update

So, I'm pretty much covered up with orders from the Holiday Show. I hate to do this, but I can't take any more custom orders until after the New Year. I'm trying to just keep the panic at bay until I get everything finished and can enjoy the Christmas season with my family. If you've emailed me or I've corresponded with you already, I have your order in the lineup and I'll get it done in the next 2 weeks. I also have several items that didn't sell at the show that I'll post this afternoon. The first customer to pay for it gets it. There are some cute Christmas applique shirts that are ready to ship, so if you see one in the size you need, grab it. I will include monogramming if you request it. If you want to place an order for shipping after the New Year, please feel free to go ahead and email it to me. Have a great Monday!

Christmas Sneak Peak

I'm in the home stretch getting finalized for the holiday show tomorrow evening, but I want to give you a quick peek at some of the Christmas items I have available for order. My photo shoot was fast and furious, so please excuse some blurriness.

Christmas shirts - $20
Onesies - $15
Mini pillow - $25
Monogram ornament - $8
Personalized tray - $15

I'll be back soon with a final Christmas product post. I'm accepting Christmas orders until Friday, December 7.

Thanksgiving 2012

We're back from a blessed and food-filled few days with my family celebrating Thanksgiving. I have a couple of last turkey shirts to post before they fly away until next year.  These are for some sweet sisters:
And this one was for my own little turkey:
Isn't she adorable? The pony tails were her idea and I know their days are numbered, so I happily obliged her.
This is our family's version of the thankful posts you see on Facebook leading up to Thanksgiving Day. We write the things we're thankful for on fake leaves and hang them on the tree branches (kind of a reverse autumn, I guess).
They range from things of true significance and eternal value...
to the trivial.
Gentry added this one after a particularly chilly shower she had to take when the hot water got used up.
Ava was grateful for sunrises, but I honestly can't think of the last time she witnessed one (if ever). She's my sleepyhead.
Here's our little family on Thanksgiving Day. We are so very blessed. Gentry is getting dangerously close to catching up to me, and I was wearing heels! Also, apparently Ava is too mature for Matilda Jane anymore.
I hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. I'm so thankful for all of you too, who make this little online boutique a reality, and am excited about the Christmas items I have to show you. I'm prepping for a show on Tuesday so that's all I can think about right now, but I will be back later this week with a ton of new products to display. I will have a short order window before I close for the holidays, so you'll have to be fast!

Sock Monkey Gift Set

This was my third time to make this little sock monkey trio (I purchased the doll) for a craft show, and it's still one of my faves. Perfect for the mom-to-be who hasn't made the name announcement yet (or is still struggling to decide on one), but still wants something boutique and fun. The name can always be added after the little man makes his appearance.

Sock monkey gift set (including sock monkey doll) - $40

Personalized Tote Bags

I'm loving these simple canvas tote bags. There are so many ways to personalize/customize them. We recently gave this one as a birthday gift for a little friend and filled it with arts and crafts supplies, coloring books and markers.
Bonus: it doubles as the gift bag!
If you have reading addicts in your family like I do, you know a good library book bag is a must. We're big e-readers also, but I hope the old-fashioned book form will never be obsolete. This bag is great for those library excursions, and for keeping all your books in one place until the next visit.
Canvas tote bag - $15

Christmas Dish Towels

I cannot for the life of me get these photos to turn vertical, so you'll have to crook your neck a bit and look at them sideways. The Christmas orders are ramping up and these dish towels are flying out the door. I enjoyed working on this order because I was told to "just have fun" and create whatever I wanted to with a Christmas theme. I like using these thicker, cotton dish towels because you can really use them. Those fancy linen hand towels look great but I need something I can grab and wipe my hands on when I'm in the kitchen. Remember, any of these appliques can also be done on a shirt, onesie or apron too!

Applique Christmas Dish Towels - $10
with added ball or ric-rac trim - $12
