Initial Shirt

A fun mom ordered this shirt for her daughter who is very into green right now. Her only request was that it be green and sparkly for her spunky little girl. Hope you love your bling shirt, Miss A!

Pillow with Personality

If you're dropping in today from Kelly's Korner, welcome to The Chocolate Zebra! Please stay a while and browse to your heart's content. I'm a stay-at-home mom to 3 precious girls who are the inspiration for everything I make. I married my dream guy almost 15 years ago, and he loves all 4 of his girls fiercely. God has blessed me abundantly, and I strive to glorify Him in all I do.

I have enjoyed being in business for about a year and half now, and love creating custom and unique items for friends and customers. My best seller right now is the applique name pillow. They are popular as a baby shower gift or for that special personal touch in your child's room. You choose the fabrics and how the name or initials will appear, and I take it from there. The finished pillow measures 21"x11". Right now my turnaround time is 2-3 weeks from when payment is received. Please let me know if anything strikes your fancy, and I look forward to seeing you again soon!

Zebra Clipboard

I used the last of my chocolate brown zebra wrapping paper on this funky clipboard, and now I can't find it anywhere! Where did I buy it?! I usually know exactly where I picked up each of my regular supplies, but I have no idea where this came from. Can anybody help me out?

Towels and a Birthday Shirt

These items were for a sweet friend of mine who has 3 little girls too. She is planning her youngest's 1st birthday party and is going with a baby barnyard animal theme (adorable!). We thought the cow print would be a fun complement to the red and white gingham accents she plans to use at the party. Happy 1st Birthday, Miss A!

A Special Canister

This one tugs at my heart. A good friend of mine told me about a little girl, Leah, in her son's 4th grade class. She has been battling cancer since the first week of 1st grade. She recently found out it has returned and she will need to start chemotherapy again. My sweet friend thought a canister would be a great way for her teachers and classmates to show their support for Leah as she goes through this difficult process again. They plan to fill the canister with handwritten notes of encouragement for her to read during her chemo sessions. I couldn't help but think of this precious little girl (the same age as my oldest) as I tied each ribbon, and imagine the canister filled with well wishes and heartfelt messages from her friends and supporters back at school. Please join me in praying for Leah as she begins this journey, and for her complete healing soon!

Teacher Gifts

It's not too early to start thinking about end-of-the-year teacher gifts. Both of these items are my best sellers for teacher gifts, and these particular ones were bought BY a teacher for her teacher friends. Since I've already given canisters to all of our teachers this year, I've got to come up with something else. Anybody have some other fun ideas?

Personalized Children's Aprons

These child aprons are ready-made (not by me) and are one-size-fits-most. They measure 18 1/2" from the top front to the bottom of the ruffle. I imagine they would work fine for about a 2 to 7-year-old. You choose your fabric combinations and name style. Also available in white.

Burp Cloths

Bruce was named after a famous guitar-playing rock star. Any guesses which one? This Bruce hasn't been born yet, but his mom wanted several burp cloths ready for him when he makes his appearance. I was glad to finally get to use the guitar applique (it's a chocolate brown corduroy) and try out the applique letters. It's a departure from my usual burp cloth design but I like the combinations of fabrics and the chunky letters.

These didn't photograph very well because of all the snow and ice storms we've had recently (which may or may not be due to global warming) and the sun didn't come out for 3 days. I don't mind staying warm and cozy at home with my kids for days on end in this dismal weather, but it makes for poor lighting conditions.

Birthday Shirt

This custom birthday shirt is for a very fun little girl who always has a huge smile on her face. Happy Birthday, sweet K!

A Public Service Announcement

A tip: When you are deciding on the best arrangement for your bedroom furniture, it's wise to never place your dresser with your wedding pictures displayed on it underneath an upstairs bathroom, because when your child puts the plug in her sink, turns the faucet on and then gets distracted and leaves it running for several hours and water leaks through your ceiling causing it to collapse and destroy the carpeting and sheetrock below, you don't want those special photos to get wet. It makes you sad.

Big Sister Shirts

These whimsical custom shirts are for Benjamin's big sisters. Their mom had the awesome idea of coordinating their shirts with his name pillow for a fun, creative photo shoot in his nursery. Why didn't I think of things like this with my own kids? Love it.

Pink, Green and Brown

I still love this color combination. Right now, on the coldest day of winter so far, it makes me long for springtime, green grass and pink cotton candy.

Basketball VIP

Tye is coaching both of our older girls' basketball team right now and Tatum was feeling a little left out. He decided to give her the important job of team manager. She takes this role VERY seriously, and handles her tasks well, like holding Coach's clipboard, participating in team yells and running messages back and forth between parents and players. She requested and designed her own shirt to make it more official and she wears it with authority. I didn't get a picture of it being worn at game time, but it's hard to miss from the other side of the court. Go Shooting Stars!
